History:
Every thirteen days, the thirteen members of the Masked Circle meet at the Black Room restaurant to plot the fall of man. Barring complications.

The King of Masks is the leader of the Masked Circle. The title is ceremonial. The current King is not the first and probably won't be the last. Unless they manage to pull off that whole "fall of man" thing off.

They'd probably close up shop after that.

Little is known about the King, except that he is smart, powerful, and ruthless. The King will turn on his allies at the first hint of disloyalty. That's probably smart planning on his part, because his allies have been known to turn on him as the first hint that they're being disloyal.

The King of Masks is currently seeking to rebuild the Circle after a period of marked instability. Some of his choices for membership will prove to be extremely contraversial.

Powers:
The King of Masks can fire energy blasts from his eyes that are powerful enough to tear through ten inches of steel in less than a tenth of a second. He is also superhumanly fast, strong, and tough.

In the past, the King of Masks has demonstrated the power to remain alert, active, and on his feet even after having sustained the most brutal of injuries (i.e. a big old whole through the chest).

He's also got a cool, gravelly voice.
